1. AFRICA GOLF CONFEDERATION SET TO HOST THE ALL AFRICA JUNIOR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP IN TUNISIA. The Africa Golf Confederation is set to host the 2025 All Africa Junior Team championship at the luxurious Residence Golf course in Tunis Tunisia from the 22nd to the 27th of April 2025. This is our first event of the year to be hosted in conjunction with our affiliate The fédération de golf of Tunisia. 16 countries including the defending champions South Africa for the boys and girls category have confirmed participation. This event will also act a the qualifiers for the Toyota World Cup of Golf. Our golf events also position Africa as a prestigious Tourist destination and we are confident that through Golf Tourism will grow in Africa 2. S.A, Morocco win All Africa Junior Golf accolades South Africa Junior golfers won the boys category of the 25th edition of the All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship held at the Residence Golf Course in Tunis, Tunisia. This was their record 25th win since the event was inaugurated. Morocco finished second to also qualify for the Toyota Junior World Cup of Golf due to be held in Nagoya, Japan at the end of next month. Tunisia finished third while Uganda came 5th behind Zimbabwe. In the girls category, Morocco upset perennial champions South Africa by eight strokes in the highly competitive category to book their only slot to the Toyota World Cup of Golf in Japan. The event was hosted by Africa Golf Confederation through Tunisia Golf Federation. The AGC President expressed appreciation to Tunisia for hosting a successful event and the 12 countries that participated. He said African countries must continue to demonstrate that they are developing golf in Africa by competing in such international events if they are to qualify for development grants from the R&A. Participation confirms a countries commitment. "As a sovereign continent we must mobilise resources from our governments and the private sector in Africa if Africa is to grow sports. We can't keep begging as Africa for ever from Europeans," he said. He added that Junior golf is the future of tomorrow's champions and Africa's future is bright if we continue at the current pace of development of Junior golf talent. "We have launched a junior charter in all the 5 regions and Mauritius will host the inaugural Region 4 Junior golf team championship in August 24 to 28th to grow competition at an international level in Africa," he added.
